New hard side rifle case needed

I'm looking for a new rifle case for my M4. It needs to be compact as possible, and offer a good deal of protection. This case is going to be taken in and out of a car daily, flopping anound in trunks etc.

I typically buy pelican products, but I want to explore some other options. What ya guys got?

There are other cases beside Pelican.....
If these always work for you why change. There are some knockoff but Pelican stands the test of time.

Pelican for polymer, Zero Halliburton for aluminum. Nothing else in hard cases compares to those two.

I have had really good luck with SKB cases.

I have a Pelican 1700 for my Colt Government Carbine and while it is awesome, it is very cumbersome and I kind of think it's a pain in the butt most times. Especially if it's going in and out of vehicles on a daily basis. But if you insist on a hard case, I would stick with Pelican. (I do like that I can padlock it and provide good security. Then I handcuff the handle to a fixed object and feel relatively good about the security)

All my other rifles and shotguns are in Blackhawk cases and I find them to be more than sufficient for the task. They seem to have the best padding and protection for the weapon short of a hard case and much less cumbersome.

I'll probably end up getting a Blackhawk case for the Colt sooner or later.

    YMMV

I carry my m4gery in an uncle mikes medium tactical case.

Uncle Mike's - Tatical Rifle Cases

Flops around a lot in the truck at times. Has way more padding than I initially liked, but it has proven itself a winner.

I know it is not a hardside case, but this is small, light, holds the essentials, and with the shoulder stap I can sling it over my back and have my hands free to grab other things. Its not a bad setup if I need to be on the move quickly.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

Hi, new guy to this forum but have a couple of suggestions that may or may NOT fit what you have in mind...
    The Maryland AR15 Shooters Site

Low Profile Gun Case for AR-15

Golf club rifle case, Laptop SMG case, you just have to keep you eyes open and think about what would fit - If you visit secondhand stores or garage sales you never know what you will find - Music cases work well.

    - if you take one of those cheap plastic tool boxes and cut the molded guts out and put your foam in, you can do almost anything with them and they are tough.

May not be what you have in mind, but may help someone else.
