PistolCam Would You Hang A Video Camera On Your Carry?

Welcome to PistolCam.com - Innovative Video Technology For Handguns. Great for law enforcement.

Watch the actual Video as recorded on the PistolCam while mounted on the handgun.
You need to watch it full screen.

PistolCam technology promises to revolutionize modern policing as we know it today.
No longer will police ofifcers be at the mercy of fallible and all too often hostile eyewitness testimony.

PistolCam, with its patented Auto-On™ technology, will automatically provide video/audio documentation of a perpetrator’s hostile actions.

Using state of the art MPEG4 digital imaging technology, PistolCam will record up to 60 minutes of VGA digital video and sound at a full 30 frames per second.

When memory nears capacity, PistolCam will automatically switch to Auto Stills mode and capture a full 3.2 megapixel digital photograph upon shot recoil.

The ultra-high intensity tactical illuminator as well as the integrated laser targeting system can be preset in any combination to turn on when the weapon is drawn.

Mini USB port provides instant downloads, allowing for distribution of video/photo documentation to aid in apprehension of fleeing suspects. Security software aids in evidence chain documentation.

Whether providing superior situational awareness with the integrated ultra bright illuminator, superior targeting with the on-board laser sighting system, or liability protection from baseless litigation, PistolCam will provide the latest in crime fighting technology.

    Ummm, no

Maybe at the range for a training tool, but I would not carry it.

I could see where it would be a great training tool but I wouldn't carry it on a daily basis.

    Exclamation

That wouldn't surprise me at all.
All older handguns are now illegal for carry unless they have a mount for a mandatory PistolCam.

Shhhhhhhhhh....Nancy Pelosi might be reading posts here. We don't want to give the decaying old witch any bright ideas.

Looks cool to me. Laser, Light, and video as proof of ability, opportunity, and intent. Other than the fact that it wouldn't fit on my firearm, I don't see why not... haha

Fitting that into a concealment holster would be, murder.

Not me either. Don't know if I would want a record of what it's pointing at. Hopefully, it's always the bottom of the holster.

    Gadget salesmen's ideas :--

One wonders if they just don't understand that keeping it simple can make the difference between a slow or fast draw; life and death. Gadgets provide opportunity for snags, require special rigs, add weight.

I'm not LEO, and I don't play one on TV, but I can put myself in someone else's position and imagine being there. No gun sight camera for LEOs or for non-LEO
CCW. You know, if this one went over in the LEO community, someone would invent the 30 second circular loop video recorder for personal use, and lawmakers would expect us ordinary folks to get these gadgets too. BAD IDEA.

Wow, great idea so long as it does not impede LEO's use of weapon in any way. If it functions easily and does NOT hinder LEO in any way, shape or manner; then this should be mandatory IMO.....

However, it's too bulky in its present configuration. Perhaps it could be built right into the gun.
