I've had one of these for just over a year and it has been reliable to this point and on turbo (180 Lumens) it is exceptionally bright. The thing that made me choose this one was that it uses standard AA batteries. Put it on strobe and it would disorient the heck out of someone.

What is your price range, and what do you want from the flashlight?

For how long on one set or charge of batteries? Is this for household use, roadside emergencies, or just showing off? Do you intend to carry this light with you daily? Will it need to be ready at a moment's notice? Do you want the beam to be a bright focused spot, or a wall of light?

These are many of the questions that we need answers to in order to point you in the right direction!

    Borreallis

I've done a little bit of research on these Borreallis lights and they seem to be the genuine article. Comparisons with the Surefire always show the Boreallis as superior lighting power. I don't know how they will hold up with time but they sure look good. Don't know if I want to spend $240.00 for a flashlight and then another $40.00 for a charger..., I'm thinking about it though...

    +1 surefire
I bought a G2 and then the 120 lumen upgrade bulb...very nice, and very durable.

Take a look at the Fenix T1 and TK10. LED. 225 lumens for a hour and a half or 60 lumens for 10 hours. Not including "moon time".

    https://www.fenix-store.com/index.php?cPath=22_85

Their L2D CE would make a nice flashlight that uses regular AA's.

I have the T1 and L2D CE, BTW.

That TK10 looks like a very good light, especially for the price. Looks like I'll be ordering one soon!

Might I suggest you look at this one?

    E2D LED Defender® - E2DL-BK available from SureFire

Already having a SureFire E2E and E2D flashlight, their latest new light, the E2D LED was more than I could resist so I just ordered one!

Strike Bezel, 120 lumins LED and a small lightweight light. What more could you ask for? (I know, a lower price!)

Still, one awesome little SD Flashlight.
