It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!
You cannot choose the conditions for a gunfight, so train in all conditions!
I have XS standard dot on one, and Meprolight another. I started out with Trijicon before the XS. The XS big dot is to big for my tastes.
Meprolights are a little bigger dot than the Trijicon. I like the little bit bigger dot.
XS is one of the sights that people love or hate for the most part. I like them so they are on my primary carry gun. I can hit out to 50 yards with no problems.
If you don't protect your self, who will?
I had this problem with my TFOs.I have used guns with Truglo TFOs and they work great, but I have heard from a couple people who had problems with the front light-pipe coming loose.
I switch to XS standard dots and could not be happier.

I have been interested in the XS night sights but have had a hard time deciding on the Standard or the Big Dot.
How much larger is the standard dot over say the front sight on my M&P40c, is it worth going with the smaller dot over the big??? I dont have $120 to play with to find out the hard way.
I have seen the Big dot in person and love the design, I am just worried about the loss of accuracy (I have alot of room for improvement) due to the sight covering such a large part of the target.
