Yeah, I too was on board 'till I saw the price!

Same here, like the pen, whats this discount i keep hearing about?
PM's sent guys.
1) the shark logo. You can take that off.
2) the teenie weenie marker tip in the fine-threaded body. If you carry it someplace you aren't supposed to, and get tagged, there is no argument about what it is.
The best SD pens are the Lightfoot and Surefire's offering. Well-built and heavy-duty, but not uber-tacticool. Beadblast off any logos, and you've got any-other-pen.
There sure is a lot of whining about price in a forum where we discuss the merits of 1911s regularly- easily the most-expensive-to-maintain firearms on the market...
The pen looks good, but if I lost it, I would not be to happy. I will wait for the price to come down before I pick one up.
I am trying to think of all the times I have needed to break glass and did not have a means to do so...
Oh wait, never.
Considering yourself to be defenseless is the first administrative step to becoming a victim.
I bought one of these Surefire pens from G&R and got the discount. Ordered it on a Saturday and got it the following Wednesday. It really is a fine pen and, IMHO, well worth the bucks. It is definitely "overbuilt" like most Surefire products, but I like that. It isn't going to break. The adjustment feature that allows for use of other refill brands is a neat feature if you plan to travel, especially overseas. As for the glass breaker feature, it could save your life or someone else's. I don't much care for the idea of being in a vehicle that ends up in a body of water with no way out.
