    .22 conversion for Glock 30

I've ordered the 'Advantage Arms' Glock conversion Kit for my G30. Should be here tomorrow. Any one else use one? Anything I should be aware of? To those who use one, how do you like it?
    Thanks,

    I don't have one for a 30 but have one for a 19/23 and a 21.
I love them both and they work great.
I have extra mags for both as 10 rds. don't last long at all.
I have not had any problems with either of them and I broke them in with Mini-Mags but now mostly shoot Remington Golden Bullets that I buy in the 550 pks. at Wal-Mart.
In the info that comes with the kit, they tell you the kit will not work with Federal ammo and I have not tried it yet but I plan to as I have a good deal of it as I use it in my Ciener AR kit.

Thanks Ken. I thought I'd try the kit first, then if needed order more mags.

    4 Glocks
    2 Conversion kits
    2 G19 Airsofts

I think I have all bases covered for shooting practice.

Using the kits and AirSofts for learning Point Shooting.

Also have a Ciener kit for my 1911's and Ar-15

Useful accessory and worthwhile as a survival accessory to boot. AKA "2 guns in one" provided that you get one that works well.
Allows you to carry a few hundred extra rounds with no appreciable weight gain.

I just got an Advantage Arms kit for my 19. It is the coolest piece of gear that I have purchased in a long time. 100% reliable with copper coated hi vel ammo. About 600 rounds out of it so far and nary a hitch. Now I have to order a few more mags, a kit for the 26, a kit for the 22 ............

King, don't think of it as spending money. Think of it saving money if you shoot much.
Lot of difference between several hundred rds. of .22Lr and any centerfire. Which is what I shoot each range trip.

Also be sure and get an Airsoft with Gas Blow Back that matches your everyday pistol and you can practice a lot at home. I have two Glock 19 copies and use Coleman Propane to power them. You can buy the propane at Wal-Mark and get two for less than $6.00.
Right now ,I have over 6,000 shots from one bottle.

They don't make an Airsoft GLOCK 29/30.

I understand the saving money, I was just joshing around.

    Mags for Conversion

Where is the best place to get extra mags (best price)? The co. (Advantage Arms price is good, but their shipping is expensive (UPS) for such a small object.

Check on gunbroker.com. I have found both kits and mags there.
In fact, I got one of my kits there plus mags for both.
I had one guy to sell me new mags for $15.00 ea.

Well I attempted to try out my new toy, the Advantage Arms .22 Kit for my Glock 30. Sad to say, I can't use it. For some reason the slide lock on the Glock will not go to it's uppermost position when the kit slide is on. I have sent an email to Advantage Arms and they were prompt in a reply. Their advise did not help though so am waiting for instruction as to return or what to do. shucks (for a better word), I hate to buy something new and immediately have to send it back. Oh well!

Advantage Arms came through. After a few emails (trying to pin the problem down) they decided to cut a new bbl. for me with slightly diff. dimentions, and sent it out Wed. eve. I received it Friday. Quick service. They were very helpful and stand behind their product. Good ompany to do business with.
