I wear 1.5" belts and haven't had an issue with any brand of jeans, I don't think you'll have a problem with jeans.

I am thinking about ordering a 1 1/2 inch belt from The Belt Man and I wanted to know if these will fit in most pants or if I have to look for pants with larger loops. I mostly wear jeans but I was thinking about getting some of those Blackhawk! tactical pants and I know those will be fine.
Depends on the pants, of course, but I've had several 1.5" belts and have had no issues with any pants I have used. Slacks (dressy, dressy casual, casual or jeans), shorts (cargo style, "normal" golfer type). 1.5" seems to fit them all. Plus, a well made 1.5" is far more supportive than smaller belts, IMO. It's the minimum size you should shoot for, if carrying a ~30oz+ firearm on the belt.
I've got two BeltMan 1.5" double bullhide, tapered. They are nice.
I've been using 1.5" belts for years and they have fit all my pants.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
That size has fit everything I've ever used. Maybe if you wear suits do a measurement, otherwise they'll fit things like jeans and other slacks.

I use 1.5" thick gun belts on the following:
Levis jeans (I know Levi Strauss is anti gun)
Dickies pants and jeans
Eddie Baure twill pants
LLBeane twill pants
Brookes Brothers linen suit
JC Pennys wool suit
hope this helps.
Thanks for the replies guys! I just wanted to be sure before ordering a belt that cost almost a hundred bucks.
1.5 fits my jeans but not my Dickie work pants. My belt is a Rafter, it's not the thickness, it's the width that is to wide for those pants.
1.5" fits everything...except fancy suits.

Wranglers here, no problems, the 1.5 belt really helps to keep the gun vertical.

Well, after all those replies from the 1.5" crowd....I have a 1.75" that I wear daily and it fits all my jeans if that gives you any idea. It just doesn't fit suits.

All of my pants, dress or casual, take a 1.5" belt. I have maybe two pairs of dress pants where the double-width belt is a tight fit, but it still goes through the loops.

My 1-3/4" didn't fit my suit until I had my wife open up the belt loops a bit. It fits everything else, so I can't imagine having problems fitting a 1-1/2"
1 1/2 will work on most pants/ jeans except dress pants, which usually are 1 1/4. I've got several belts from Beltman, nice stuff
