    SureFire U2 Ultra.

    Hi guys,

I'm new on this forum. I have just bought my first real light a SF-U2 Ultra. But i am very confused over the lights condition? the reflector are full of dust and also to much of micro bubbles in the chrom surface? This looks really bad, is here maybe someone else who have the same problem?

    Hi,
Yes, the light is Brand New in SF-originalbox. I bought it from a guy on e-bay. (from Vegas)

Can you take a clear photo of the lens, reflector, and LED? Do all of the output levels work properly?

All six output levels work just perfect. i tryed to charge a pic, but it didn't work. When i look at the reflector it seems that it is a very poor chrom surface. There are also one ugly scratch on the inside of the lens?

Some reflectors are not perfectly mirror smooth, but textured. They will look like the surface of an orange peel or will appear slightly frosted. This is normal for some lights... I don't know about the U2. These intentional imperfections smooth out the beam. As far as the scratch on the inside of the lens that sounds like something you need to take up with the seller, or by filing a complaint with eBay or PayPal if the seller won't communicate and work with you.

My surefire G2 has the same 'textured' reflector. I have carried mine daily for 3+ years and the light is bright enough that scratches on the lens really have no effect.

Yes, i have already contacted the manufacturer SureFire, it take a couple of weeks before they answer me..and when they answer, they starts to accuse me to bee someone else who also have wrote about the same problems, but that guy had a light who was damaged on the bezel (on CPF Mr Looman) What a story.

I can't believe it's true, that Surefire accuse their own customers to bee somebody else?? when they asking for help.
I am very disappointed over this unfreindly support. I don't know if i will keep this brand.

    Dear Sir,

I find it interesting that you are telling me that this is all about “dust & dirt” in the head but on CPF you state that this is really about the fact that your friend dropped your light and chipped the bezel. What is the real issue here? We do everything we can to support our customers within reason?????

Well, if Surefire is claiming you are someone else, they're probably basing it off of that serial number.
