    What mags do you prefer for an AR-15?

    I know with my 1911, I prefer Wilson's.
    With my 10/22, I prefer Butler Creeks with steel lips.
    So what is the preferred mag for an AR-15?

    I don't know about 'the' preferred mag, but my preferred mag is now the 30 round pmag and 20 round brownells.

    I have not tried the P mags , but the USGI mags seem to work just fine and are affordable buying used.

    Pmags, #1. A close #2 are the C-Products stainless steel mags with the new black coating.

    Pmags run flawlessly - at least all of mine have. Also like the dust covers - they keep the feed lips from spreading and keep out dust when in storage.
    Its a shame that youth is wasted on the young.

    Second the USGI w/ green followers...I can get 'em for 9 bucks, and not a single one has failed me yet. Don't waste 40 bucks on OEM mags!!!

    EVERYONE prefers Wilson Combat mags! Why is it that this seems to be a universal? Wilsons, KUDOS to you for making a reliable 1911 magazine!!

    P-mags - either 30 or 20 - never had a problem

    I have several Orlite and thermold 30 rd mags from a few years ago. None of them have ever given me any problems.
