    Thanksgiving find

well first of all i hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving. we went to my girlfriends grandmothers house for our first round of thanksgiving. a little back story here though. her grandfather god rest his soul served in WW2 and ran the gauntlet at normandy in '44. well we travel upstairs at her house and find this old bucket with some random things in it and i find this item. she said it was his in WW2 while fighting in Europe, then they said i could have it if i wanted it. needless to say i was pretty excited about it.

In the midst of our current political situation I was reflecting on the freedoms we have in the US and praying we won't lose too many of them. Stories from my Dad (USN Officer in WWII) & Grandpa (Army Chaplain in WWII), both deceased now help me to recall how much we have to be thankful for and the cost of freedom. Great find on a great day in a still great country!
