Todays beauty is a little different. This is natural Buffalo Horn over Bloodwood. A very cool look with the pattern of the horn framed by the great red color of the bloodwood. I think this combination is just ubercool!
Anyway, sorry about being late with today's pics - I have to work at my day job SOMETIME. :hand5:

As long as they are not Buffalo Blood over Hornwood. :hand5:
Real nice looking & classy. Great combo. :yup:
Starting your day off right today is some great Buckeye Burl. So many things going on with this stuff! It's a very light wood, so I have all of my blanks stabilized professionally prior to fabrication to ensure the wood is ready for the rigors of recoil. I know I say this almost every post, but it's just true - beautiful stuff!
Enjoy,

Those are really nice looking, Sarge. I like the dark/light contrast. Have you ever seen that wood in all dark grain?
Yes. Actually the cream color running through it is the more rare type. Usually the lighter color is nearer the surface of the burl and is accompanied by holes, rot and other things that can make the wood unusable. It's great to find the mix without the problems.

Gabon Ebony is usually the worlds "blackest" natural wood. I bought a block that has some very nice lighter streaks running through it which makes the wood look great as a stand alone grip. The streaks are no wider than 1/16" and are faint - just enough to break up the blackness. I think it's cool. I don't know how much you'll be able to pick up in the pics, but here they are anyway.
Enjoy,

Talk about great figure! This set is done in some very cool quilted Maple. The kind that you can lose yourself into while staring. Outstanding example of the beauty of nature and why man will never be able to match it. The only problem with the pictures is that they don't really begin to show what's actually in this wood. Someday, maybe we'll have some type of holographic HD and 3D projection files that will do stuff like this justice. Bumper, why don't you get busy on that? :D
Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

The pics are great, you have me checking this thread almost every day!
Now if we could just get some grip porn for the Hi-Power and P7...
Hang in there! I have plans (like that matters:9:) to try a set or two of HiPowers this weekend. I've got a whole list of orders to fill, so we'll see, but I'm planning on it!
I'm glad you're enjoying the pics!

The Maple looks like it glows like a Moonstone in those pics. Nice!
Very nice stuff...:yup::yup::yup:
Had I not just ordered from Esmeralda's...I could easily become a customer.:hand10::hand10::hand10:
This set is in Rambutan. A great pale red color and some sharp veining cutting through it ( I crosscut the blanks) make this a very attractive set. The wood is rock hard also, which doesn't hurt for use in grips.
Start your week off right and enjoy!
