You want exceptional? I'm going to skip about 7 pages ahead in my photobucket folder and show you a set that just went up on the site today. THESE are exceptional! From a spalted maple burl block that I received a little while back. These are stabilized and VERY unique!
    Enjoy,
    Sarge

I think I would've thrown caution to the wind and finally purchased a set; but alas, they are already sold.

Yeah, those lasted a whole couple of minutes after putting them up on the site. I'm glad I got to show them to you though. Pretty special wood right there.

Today's set is done in extremely curly Asian Walnut. As cool as the pics are, they cant' match actually seeing these things. SO much figure packed in there, it was a true treat for the eyes. You could find yourself seeing curls inside the curls inside the curls.
    Hope you enjoy them,
    Sarge

The wood o the day today is a VERY chatoyant Mango. These blanks have unbelievable depth to them, and a figure that is very cool. As you roll them in the light, they just seem to move with all that's going on under the surface. Of course the pics can't show the movement, but you get a hint of what I'm talking about.......
    Enjoy!

Todays set is done in Madrone Burl. A lightweight wood that is also pretty tough. Surprisingly tough. I just can't get over the light weight of it, so I send it to get it stabilized anyway.
A pale red color, this wood can display great depth and interesting burl patterns.
Enjoy the pics, and may you all have a safe and Merry Christmas!
Please remember our Brothers and Sisters in arms who can't be with their families this Christmas. Say a prayer for their safety, and comfort for both them, and the families that will be missing them.
    Thanks,
    Sarge

Spending a LOT of time in the shop during this break between the Holidays. Over 70 sets going right now with 35 sets having finish on them as I type this. It's great! I hope you all had not only enjoyable, but safe celebration time as well.
I can't believe that I didn't post the grips I made for my own Bill Wilson Carry that I recently picked up.
I'll be back posting pics fo grips on a daily basis starting again this coming Monday. Until then, check out these Amboyna Burl beauties that grace my BWC. A neat little detail at the frontstrap checkering that I like.
    Thanks!
    Sarge

I'll try harder next time. I was excited about landing the Wilson and having a hard time keeping my hands from shaking.
