    Here you go!
I honestly can't remember if I posted these here yet, but this is a set of grips done in genuine King Cobra hide. These are the first snake skin grips I've done. I think they're pretty cool.
    Enjoy the weekend!

    I know, I know, I'm late.
Todays set is from a block of maple burl that was down long enough that it was almost past saving. A quick trip to the stabilizers brought it back to life and made it usable again. The result of being so far gone is seen in the color and pattern of it. Unusual and thanks to the stabilization, good to go for use now.
    Enjoy!

I just love the cream/blue mix on some of the buckeye burl sets. Each pair is unique and beautiful. It's some very cool wood.
    Enjoy!

Yup, they sure do. I have to be careful coming to this thread because it's such a temptation....

QKS - You and I both know that Mother Nature does all the hard work. I just get to have fun exposing it. Thank you though.

Today's set is Spalted Hackberry. Great lines and shades in this set.
Hackberry is a fairly boring wood normally, but add the spalt and WOW! Of course, these are crosscut also. If cut with the grain, the spalt in this wood tends to show up as more like streaks running through it.
    Enjoy!

Todays set is some Amboyna Burl.
I have many types of Amboyna burl in the shop, from gold to orange to red. Some is so packed with burl eyes that they're literally inside of each other, some with full burl coverage, and then there's some with just a few burl eyes or clusters throughout. Different people like different things. This set has the lighter touch of the burl clusters. It's all beautiful! The more burl clusters, the more $$$ the wood is, that's for sure. I think this look is quite nice and compliments the weapon without being too overpowering.
    Enjoy!

Thank you. I'm glad when people enjoy what they're seeing.

Todays set is done in African Blackwood. Gee, three guesses as to where this wood comes from. A beautiful dark color that almost looks like it has a faint trace of purple in it. The pic of them on the weapon is more the color you see in use. They look quite a bit lighter with all the lights shining on them. Great graining and movement throughout. Very nice stuff!
    Enjoy!

    More officers, please

Sarge - I know you are busy and I can't plan, so I always surf your site for new and available now grips for officers frame. I'm patiently waiting for more to show up on site! There are too many great ones for me to choose from, so when I see one I like, I buy it from the site and keep looking for more......

    Gentlemen,
It has been a lot of fun posting the various woods of the world for you here on this thread. With 20,000 views, I think a few of you enjoyed it. The main objective of me doing it was to share the beauty, not sales. While it has been fun, I've decided to not renew my sponsorship here as I just can't justify putting out the funds to do this. I don't know how long this thread will remain up, but I hope you can go back and review your favorites before it disappears. Bumper, QKShooter and the rest of the guys here on this board are great! I want to stress that there are NO problems at all between me and the board. It's just a straight business decision. I hope you've all enjoyed the thread, and I thank you all for your kind words and comments along the way.
    I'll see you around!

Man, I sure hope this thread doesn't disappear(!). But even if it does, I'll still keep checking the finer grain for new stuff.
