Todays set is a beautiful example of Afzelia Burl. Very unique pattern and coloring here. It's beautiful!

Todays wood is Spalted Tamarin. This wood is known for it's fine pencil line spalted patterns and color range. This set shows more advanced spalting in the great areas. It's a nice combination!
    Enjoy,

I was lucky enough to secure THREE 50" logs of the worlds rarest wood, and it's all GORGEOUS! Snakewood! Can you believe the beauty of this stuff? In high pattern/figure like this, it's often sold by the ounce - it's that sought after.
Am I the luckiest guy on earth or what?!
    Enjoy the pics,

Photobucket is having a problem. I have contact them to try to get it worked out, but as of this moment, haven't yet heard back. Hopefully all the pictures will be back up and I'll be able to post new ones soon.
    Thanks!

Okay, Photobucket is back on line and so are my pics, so we'll move on.
Todays wood is Burmese Blackwood. A great choice for those who want visual interest AND more of a subdued look. This wood often has great graining pattern in it while keeping an overall darker color.
    Enjoy,

Todays wood is Purpleheart. A very interesting wood in that when it's freshly cut it's a brownish gray, but as it sits in the air, it naturally oxidizes and turns to a deep purple. It's not all the same though, some is a bright purple, some a deep rich more royal purple. On the right pistol, it's a real heart stopper! The set below is for the new Kimber Super Carry. The owner wanted slims and color. The minute he saw Purpleheart, he jumped on it.
    Enjoy!

Well, then here's another beauty to add to it! Thanks Nekron - it's always good to know somebody is looking. ;)
Pommelle Bubinga. Bubinga is of course from Africa and the pommelle refers to the figure type. Pommelle is a deep "bumpy" figure that resembles water running over pebbles. It's beautiful stuff!
    Enjoy,

Todays wood is Leopardwood (or Fishtail Oak) which comes from Australia. Many people get this wood confused with Lacewood and it's easy to understand why. Both of them have the "wafers" that grow in the rings of the tree, and they are similar in appearance, but the difference is in the density. Lacewood is very lightweight and softer, as well as usually a lighter red color. Leopardwood is heavier and denser and usually a more brownish red color. As you shape the wood, you reveal the wafers in the rings and it makes for some highly unique patterns. It's all natural and it beautiful!
    Enjoy!

Todays set features Bloodwood. Not hard to imagine how it got it's name, it's rich red color is stellar with black frames. Consistent and fine grained, it really enhances the beauty of a pistol without stealing the show. Enjoy the pics!
