My first ever set of Stag grips! I'm sure there will be many more to come!
    Enjoy the pics!

I've posted stingray before, but this set is cool! Made for the Les Baer Stinger, the customer is from Texas and wanted his stars put into the grips also. It's the first set of inset stingray I've done. A few "peculiar" things you have to think about doing medallions in Stingray, but I love a challenge. Hope you like them!

I can live without the stingray grips. Stingray skin makes me think of an Eboli~ish type of skin disease.

Bwahahaha! Yeah, if that's what you thought of when you saw them, then I can understand totally. That made me laugh though......

Okay, jumping WAY ahead again, but these are just too cool to wait. A wonderful black and white King Cobra pelt. Belly scales combined with back scales. Just a very cool thing to see. I think it's absolutely gorgeous.
    Enjoy!

Todays wood is Red Bubinga. A hard African wood with great color and a deep shimmer down inside that you can't really appreciate until you have it in hand and it's flashing at you.
    Enjoy the pics!

Okay, I know this thread is about the beauty of nature and how it can be added to items related to self defense, BUT, I can't resist posting this.......
This coming saturday, check out what I'll be shooting:

I picked this up this evening along with 700 rounds of ammo. The owner was nice enough to let me use it for a range party I'm having saturday. We're also running pistol courses, tactical shotgun courses and rifle courses. It's going to be a glorious day!

Oh Wow. A beautiful antique brass telescope.

You obviously tip the back part up toward the moon or the stars and then look into those little various different power eye pieces in the front.

Hey seriously Sarge. That's incredible. Thanks for posting the PIC.

A quick pic of me with the beast at the range today. 700 rounds through it, and another 600 or so through an assortment of DW's, Les Baers, Fusions, Kimbers and others that I brought to the range with me. It has been a most HOOAH type of day gentlemen!

I'm sorry, are you talking about me, or the Gatling gun? :D I agree with you, it's a wonderful piece and the workings are sooooooo smooth. It's remarkable to have had the opportunity to put it through it's paces.

    On to todays set -
Macassar Ebony! Rich brown color with dark, almost black, veining running through it. Hard, tough and possessing classic beauty, it's a winner for grips!
    Enjoy the pics!
