I guess that would depend on the revolver.

Maybe so, but I just looked at a bunch of pics and all the revolvers I saw look like they have pretty high bores compared to semis. I could be wrong of course.

Well, I can't say what the pictures of them look like, but I know from owning S&W's J frames, they set pretty low.

    Yep, pics can be misleading.

I agree with the statement about the .45 GAP. Once had a XD-45 GAP, within a month I had traded it towards my SIG P220 ST Langdon Edition. Never regreted it.

I'd love to have an XD 45, but since they just came out I guess it would be impossible to have any of those "pre ban" hi caps laying around, and I think the capacity of the pistol is one of the best features.

Otis, if I had to live in the PRK for some reason, I'd still have the XD45. The capacity relative to its size is remarkable, but that's not why I bought it.

I have owned my new XD45 for about a week now and, while it doesn't qualify me as an expert, I have some observations. At the outset I have a bunch of Glocks and 1911's (I am a true addict) and I have some basis for comparison. Without being pedantic about it I can say that the XD has been doggone accurate (over 400 rounds with nary a hiccup nor belch), reasonably accurate (I can keep everything on a 9 inch pie place at 30 yards) for me and I am glad that I bought it. So what else can I say?

Great thread. Now I'm interested in buying the XD-45 ACP after reading what folks had to say. Sounds like a great gun.

My preference between the Glock and the XD is clearly the XD. To me it feels better, points better, and shoots better. I do own Glocks but have come to vastly prefer the XD.
