Actually I would recommend doing this! I know a guy who does it in my area (Missouri) for either $125.00 or $150.00 but I bet you could get a deal being that close to each other from a guy in your area.

They use like $3,000.00 special dollys that are either electric/hydralic both ?, I can't remember, but they are sweet for moving a safe and are designed to do just that. Up stairs is no problem for them either.

I would call a local business that sells safes in your area and get a number or two of someone who does this for a living or on the side. It's money well spent and takes all the pressure off of you.

just got done moving my American securities safe W/2 other guys it took us about 2 hrs. it weighs about 600lbs. the weight isn't the problem its that the thing is so damn bulky and akward.

I'm going out on a limb here, but does anyone have a clue how much this safe will weigh?

The dimensions are 60"x 22"x 16"

The model is not listed anywhere on American Security' website. It is fire-rated.
