5.11 Tactical PUSH Practical Utility Shoulder Holdall Pack
I usually carry my stuff for work in an older laptop bag (no laptop). She got me this because I was looking for something smaller and she knows that I like 511 stuff. Anyone use one of these? I'm afraid I will feel like I am carrying a purse

Men in other countries carry clutch bags (man purses) all the time.
I think it makes a nice bag. Can you secure a weapon in there?

Yes you can. They make a holster that will attach that I already own for the CC Jacket they make. That was one of the reasons she bought it for me with warm weather ahead and all.

Maxpedition makes some nice bags as well from what I can tell. I don't actually own one, but I've looked at them. I don't have a need for one right now, but I look forward to when I do!!!

Very nice! I have been looking at those, and others from maxpedition. I don't think it would be noticed in a urban setting. What color did you get?

She got me the black one, probably since I carry a black laptop bag. I can carry my XD9sc in it pretty easily it seems.

You're very own murse. Congrats. If I didn't have so many books to carry around I'd prolly carry something like that. But my professors think that would be nice of them, which they don't like.

I have a Maxpedition Jumbo Versipak which is very similar. I use it for day hikes, going to the park or zoo with my daughter, and on trips to carry items I may need, water, first aide, extra ammo, or a second gun. They also can make a good bug out bag.

I too have thought about a bag similiar to that. I think I would only use it for things like hiking, biking, etc. For everyday CC, I will probably stick with my IWB holster.
Please let us know how it works out for you after you have worn it for awhile

Similar, hell. This thing is practically a clone of the FatBoy.

I took it with me yesterday when we went on a 3 hour trip with some friends. We were going in some areas where I couldn't carry so I took the man bag and locked it in the trunk while we were inside this building. No one knew that I had it in there except my wife. I also had my Zune, cell phone, chargers for both, Surefire flashlight, extra mag, pocket holster, Leatherman's tool, extra batteries for the Surefire, car keys and my XD9sc and still had a ton of room to spare.
