    Fenix????

Looking to get a superbright light to have around the house or to use when i need to search the area with a gun. Looking into the

    fenix P3D Q5
    Fenix PD30
    Fenix Tk10

Post what light you have and how to beams are and the total output of the light. Looking for something with a good beam but also has a good surrounding flood to brighten the area up around the main target as well.

Post your thoughts on the lights if you have used any of them. Also will the fenix lights handle the 3.6-3.7 volt battery instead of the rated 3 volt battery.

I would go with the TK11 - it is basically a TK10 that can take the rechargeable 18650 lithium ion battery.

I bought a PD30 to carry on my duty belt and couldn't be happier. It is bright (220 lumens), small and has a very good focused beam but enough peripheral light to tell what is going on outside of the spot.

Same answer here as Bumper, "...PD30 to carry on my duty belt and couldn't be happier. It is bright (220 lumens), small and has a very good focused beam but enough peripheral light to tell what is going on outside of the spot."

    Great light for the money.

Olight T10. 190 lumens, strobe, SOS, dims to 5 levels, and it fits in the palm of my hand.

Fenix L1D--nothing but good things to say about this model. Runs on 1 AA, strobe, sos, 4 brightness levels. Solid.

I have to vote for the PD30 after reading about it... if it's good enough for Bumper, well, you know!

Seriously, I did just order one to try. I really think the strobe feature is worth having for it's disorientation ability. (Strobe does a great job of getting a drivers attention when you're in a cross walk at night too!) 220 lumens is outstanding for a carry light.

I ordered mine here: FenixGear PD30 Black (220 Lumens) Only $1.00 shipping!

Haha... Did you read the reviews on the PD30 on their site from that link? Would think they'd want to monitor their comments section...

I have the TK11 which is the redesigned version of the TK10, it is supposed to run cooler & it has the option of using the 18650 battery. Its a great light
