    Handgun weapon light recommendations?

I'm looking for comparison information between the SureFire X300 and Insight XTI Procyon weapon lights. Anyone have first hand experience with either light? Which would you recommend? Thanks.

I love the X300. Works great on handguns and rifles. The throw is excellent.

I have the Procyon on my nightstand gun. Like it so far. Really bright and pretty easy to use. Really like the strobe feature.

I don't have a Surefire but do have the Procyon. It's an excellent light and as stated already, the strobe feature is very nice. That being said, I still think the separate flashlight in my weak hand approach might be the better (safer) option. I probably wouldn't have got the Procyon except for the fact I got a great deal on a used one. Another cool toy to play with.

I would agree that a separate flashlight is better, except for a handgun used as a home defense firearm. In that case, a weapon-mounted light leaves a hand free for doors, grabbing the kids, light switches, and the phone.

I have a Glock light on my G19, which is now my primary home defense gun.

I have the X300 and I love it. Great light, bright and is very secure on the gun. Thinking about possibly selling it if you're interested. Want to buy the X400.

Almost all of my weapon-mounted lights are Procyons.
