Icon flashlight opinions
Was browsing over at optics planet and came across these Icon brand flashlights. Led, aluminum construction, o-ring seals, appears to be a strike bezel, tailcap switch, AA battery etc. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they worth the money? I'm wanting a tacticool light but I don't want to spend $250.00.

Good stuff - designed by Paul Kim, VP of design over at Surefire. They are well constructed and have a unique regulation circuit designed to give good battery life when you use the light for a long period of time. They have the same interface as the Surefire E1B and E2DL.
The rogue lights also do not have Surefire's lifetime warranty - IIRC it is 1 year.
That is not a strike bezel - the crenelations are subdued and pocket-friendly. Also, there is no tailcap per se - the switch is built into the body of the light, and you remove the head to install/replace the battery.

You can also peel carrots with them...no joke. I think you could do much better with a Fenix AA light than the Icon...
