The ones I got for my Taurus M85 did not fit properly. Had to file them to get them to fit correctly on the grip frame. If I had known the fit would of been that poor I would of saved my money.

I bought a set for my Kimber . . . they cracked. Set back and new set cracked. Ajax then refused to replace again.

    But they looked good.

Have heard of many horror stories about Ajax grips and their customer service. I have always steered clear of them for this reason.

Take a look over at Hogue for j-Frame grips. Their grips are 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed and can be returned for any reason.
Plus they have beautiful J-Frame grips that are wonderfully ergonomic as well as beautiful.
Their website is a bit of a PITA but, I'll add a link here.

Hogue is a great idea. I have a pair of their smooth wood 1911 grips and they look and feel great. It surprised me to find all of the nice wood grips they offer since I used to think of them solely for their rubber grips.

I've purchased several sets of the Ajax Pearlite grips and the only ones that have broken were my fault. Pearlite is almost like glass and will not flex. The key is to not over tighten the grip screws. Use some blue Loctite and just snug the screws. I have fit several sets to SAAs for myself and friends as all SAAs have slight manufacturing differences that prevent a mass production fit. On other types of firearms, I've never had to do any fitting. If they do have to be fit, they are easily manipulated with sandpaper and re-polished with polishing compound. I've switched to other types of grips on most of my firearms, but I do still have a set of Ajax Pearlite grips on my Griffon Combat Commander.

If you want something striking, take a look at the grips offered by Buffalo Brothers. If they offer grips to fit your model of handgun, they have some beautiful options. I currently have a set of their Stag grips on one of my USFA SAAs (second photo) and a set of their Aged Ivory grips on my American Derringer.

The one thing I really miss with the polymer guns is the ability to dress them up with grip panels.
