Do you prefer stock or other magazines in your 1911?
Curious, because folks I've talked to when shooting all seem to have different opinions. For example, some swear by the factory magazines, and others don't like them.
Have you found stock magazines (Colt, Springfield, etc.) to be better in your pistol than say Wilson, Metalform, McCormick, etc, or the other way around?
Just like to get an idea of people's experiences on this. I'm still experimenting between the Colt mags and Wilsons in mine. I've got to put some more rounds through them first. So far (a couple hundred rounds each), they both seem to work well.
There is a little 'C' in the corner of my Colt factory mags. Somewhere I read where this means a company called "Checkmate" made them. Does anyone know if this is correct?
