I've not even seen OD Checkered Polymer before but, I have seen Olive Linen Micarta.
I remember the SA guns back in the early 90's at Camp Perry. they had em in Day glo green,orange and pink. I like my OD and Black 1911 , but thats as far as I go.

Glitz and bling don't belong on guns - well certainly not everyday carry pieces, but then I am an old stick-in-the-mud!
Makes me think of the old advice from Mom's in case you get hurt - ''always wear clean underwear''! That translates to guns like this as ''I wouldn't be seen dead with one of them''!
OTOH just maybe - if a bad guy gets a glimpse of such things then he might pause long enough thru astonishment to help ensure you get the first hit!
