    Locked out of my safe

I have a Winchester Western gun safe I puchased from Sam's Club a little over a year ago. This morning I tried to open it and it acts like the password is wrong, after 4 attempts it goes into lockout mode for 5 minutes. Anyone else have this problem?

    Locked out of Safe?

You may have accidently zapped it. Have you tried the factory default code?

It doesn't come with a back up key lock to bypass the electronic devices???
If not I'd get a new one that does. JM .02

We have an electronic safe, did the same thing to me. I waited for it to clear out, and typed in the EXACT password as before and POOF, opened right up. So I say give it 20 minutes and try again.

I'd be dumping that safe, because Murphy's Law says it could happen again when you need your firearm the most.

Hopefully your firearm is on your side, loaded, rather than in a safe.

Yet another reason I have no use for electric, digital keypads and prefer a S&G manual combination lock with an inset key to lock the dial.

Read through your manual and call the manufacturer...
