i carry a $10 cel phone that keeps perfect time...

i used to carry expensive ones that did all kinds of crap...i walked into the gulf with one and learned the hard way its just nt worth it...i replaced it with the cheepest one i could find and it does more than i need...and when it stops working (3 years now)...i'll step on it and buy another cheap one to replace it...

A fancy watch, can draw attention to you and cause you some problems. A watch is not really a defensive need. I found that the G Shock by casio is good basic watch. The key is to fade into the scene, not stand out.

I bought a Seiko Black Monster for way under $200+. I paid more like $168, shipped.

It is a good watch, and an automatic.

I really wanted a Marathon but the price of a SS bracelet turned me away.
