Hard Cast vs. Plated in XDm

So, I'm looking to load some 9mm for a XDm. I have heard that when reloading for these pistols, only use plated bullets.
Can someone provide some information on why not to use hard cast?

XDms (as well as all XD barrels) are traditional rifled, so you can use cast bullets w/o issues. The guns that have issues w/ cast bullets use polygonal rifling, these include Glock, the Kahr PM series and others.
