I found the Frankford Arms tumbler kit to be crappy. The tumbler over the bucket was a pain to use and broke. I just bought the Cabala's one but havn't used it yet. I'll let you know asap how it is in comparison.

edit: I wrote that badly, it was the media seperator that I found crappy. The actual brass tumbler was fine.

I've been using the Frankford stuff ever since it came out. I have no issues with it. Its tumbled 10's of thousands of rounds.

I have worn two tumblers out.

Cabela's just sent out a flyer with their kit on sale, $ 52.95. Not a bad price for what you get. Other kits in the flyer also: RCBS, Hornady, Lyman. Heard both good and bad about Frankford, but never used it.

    Thanks All
Was looking at both and seems no one has issues with tumbler its the media seperator seems to be the problem? I was wondering how the Frankford would work over the bucket I may get the cabela's since its on sale.

Been using the Frankford "Quik-N-EZ" tumbler for about a month.....
Probably tumbled 1K of .45 brass in it......with walnut media......
Kinda noisy, esp. if you don't remember to put the star washers under the nuts and TIGHTEN the 3 screws!!! Might be a tad louder than some other machines....but mine's in a room far removed from the rest of the house, so no probs here!

I've been using the Midway 1292 tumbler for years and it's the bomb! Of course I've never had anything else. Walnut and corn hull media should be readily available anywhere. I also have some of the genuine Midway Brass Polish additive that smells so good and kicks ...well, you use your imagination here.
I don't know if these are still on the market or what. Maybe I've been doing this longer than I thought?

alright. i finally started tumbling yesterday. the cabalas one is a million times better than the frankford one i had before. there are a few plastic parts which im sure will eventually break, but it is setup in a way that them breaking really wont matter.
