Citric acid is supposed to be the Cadillac cleaner, however I just use vinegar and dawn dish washing liquid as mentioned earlier. I clean every bit of brass in corn cob , I have 40lbs of the stuff. However I have found that for the money , Lymans product is worth the money , I am convinced that it is the best medium on the market. I mostly clean the brass because I do not want to hurt my Carbide dies, but I have heard many say that that is not an issue. Citric acid by the way is not vitamin c that is ascorbic acid ; just a fyi.
A hand gun is like a fire extinguisher , I wish to use neither, but have both on hand in case of need ; both are personal protection devices that serve the same purpose . ie safety of you and your family.
