Hi All
My question is Ive got some older 30-06 ammo I was thinking of tumbling to brighten up ive seen alot on the internet on it but I trust the opinions here was worried it would hurt powder load but dont know. Has anyone here done it?

My question is Ive got some older 30-06 ammo I was thinking of tumbling to brighten up ive seen alot on the internet on it but I trust the opinions here was worried it would hurt powder load but dont know. Has anyone here done it?

Done it. Same reason, to clean and polish some aging WWII ammo. It's highly unlikely that the tip of a bullet, in a confined space packed with tumbling media, could strike a primer hard enough to set it off. Consider how hard a firing pin strikes or the primer doesn't ignite.
Having said that, I wouldn't sit there and watch it go round and round. As in everything in life, anything you voluntarily do is at your own risk.
