Low Muzzle Flash?
This is regarding the 9mm(9x19mm). I mostly load a 115 gn Hornady XTP bullet and on occaision use the 115 gn GDHP. My go to powders are Blue Dot or Power Pistol. My question is, What powder is out there that has a very low muzzle flash, but can produce the magic 1250-1300 fps without going over max loadings? Or is there such a beast?

I have clocked 1300 with 115gr. XTP from my G19 using HS6.....give it a try.

I've worked up to 6.0 grains of Unique with a Sierra 115 grain FMJ-round nose bullet for a positive functioning load to be used in a Luger. It gives a muzzle velocity of 1180 fps and muzzle energy of 355 ft./lbs. I don't recall what sort of muzzle flash it exhibited but the Luger likes it. This is about all the Unique one would want to put in a 9mm case behind a 115 grain bullet and some manuals don't go quite so high.

Based on Lyman 48, 231 looks like, at max, it could hit your desired velocity in the 115 JHP (I've never put a chrono on it). With 124/125 gr. 9mm and in other cals, I've never seen 231 to be very flashy, certainly not like Power Pistol.

Thanx for your input. AzDesertrat, do you have a recipie for the HS-6 load you mentioned? I could use the start and max info. I would definetly like to give it a try. FLSlim, could you list the recipie from the Lyman 48 as well? I have some 231, but not the manual you listed. Thanx again to all of you for your response.
