    question on 9mm 125 lrf

    Hey guys
Loading lrf 125 gn 9mm with lube groove.
Don't have the exact load data so I went by the lcn data. The top groove is showing & I am not sure if it will work properly. Dropped the OAL to 1.120 @ 3.8 of universal. Only loaded 7 so far before I decided to ask here. Here's a pic of the bullet.

Looks like your top punch is cutting into the bullet. Data seems fine to me. I like to load to the longest OAL that will feed from the magazine and chamber properly. Run them in the chamber and see if they will fit. Might have to drop the OAL down to 1.10, it's common in the LRN profile. In that case, drop a tenth off the starting charge to give you some cushion. You're only working with 100fps according to the data so you might find that 3.7gr at 1.10 OAL is just the load you need.

I checked max OAL & its crazy long 1.247 is what fills the chamber. Now whether it would cycle is a different story. Thanks for the advice.

Make up a dummy or two at your proposed OAL of 1.120 and hand cycle them from mag to chamber. Don't be gentle about it. Rack it like it's been shot. You're not working with glass.

Seems at your testing, the 1.120 OAL should be fine.

1125 is what I load normally in a LRN. It should cycle. I loaded 30 at 1110 to shoot in the next day or two.
