Where are all the 7.62 x 39mm bullets?

Where are all the 7.62 x 39mm bullets?

I can't find them in stores or on-line anywhere, except for some Hornady Zombie ammo, but I'm sure if I can reload that in my press since it has that flex tip.

I do realize that it's actually cheaper and easier to just buy the Russian steel stuff, but I'd still like to reload and see my results.

What specific bullet are you looking for? I neither shoot nor reload the x39mm round, but it still a .30 cal, isn't it?

    Specs call for .310.

    I've heard you can go +/- .002, so that's .308 - .312, but I've read accuracy really suffers below .310.

No shortage around here. 7.62x39, 5.56 and .223 are always in stock.

To be clear, you mean BULLETS as in components to reload, versus loaded ammunition, right?

If so, I share your pain. I've had flat-nose bullets for .30-30 on back order since last August!

Lee makes a mold you can make your own cast with. Foreign barrels need .310-.311. Domestic uses .308.

    ^OK^^^^^^^^^

Cause I have a buddy here in Mi. who is looking to sell 3-4000 rounds of 7.62x39, and is bugging ME to take it, in addition to his hopped up AK, as he is moving to AR platforms.
