My cousin bought an RCBS turret press, a second turret, a set of dies and about 40 boxes of rifle bullets for $90.

If you can wait until I die the widow will have a yard sale to end them all. There is about a 60 year inventory of a pack rat stored around here. She has no idea what it is worth and to tell the truth neither do I. LOTS of junk with a few rare jewels in the mix !

    That's just embarrassing.

Doesn't that make you sick, getting in on such a haul like that? Sick, sick, sick!!

I was given a dream set up for rifle/pistol reloading years ago. My Uncle had gotten it as part of a fee, didnt reload, and was smart enough to know that he would kill himself with it. So, knowing that I reloaded shotshell, he gave it to me.

It had an RCBS rockchucker press, dies, lots of good bullets, lots of powder, scales, you name it, it had it. Even manuals.

I never did get around to using it. I sold it off in a yard sale to fund law school. Someone got a deal like Timmys. Probably a better deal.

Last year I bought everything to start up reloading RETAIL. I have thought a lot about that set I sold. Ouch!

    Congrats, Timmy

I felt like I was ripping him off. I kept telling him that it wasn't enough money for the stuff. He is dieing of cancer and just wanted it all to go to a happy home. I bought some stuff I didn't really want but I didn't say no because he was just piling stuff on me.

I gave him $370 which was probably $100 or so more than I had to. I ended up with over $1800 dollars in stuff when I quit counting. I used my current Cabela's shooting catalog for pricing and quit counting when I got to all of the small stuff he gave me for free (once fired brass and 22 bullets). All told it's close to a $2K haul.

Getting a good deal isn't such a bad thing, when both parties know full well the details and come to mutual agreement. Gotta love such situations. Win/win.
