I voted .357 tho I too could well have had .44 mag! (No - it ain't my carry round, but I love it anyways!)

The .357 is a very rewarding round to reload I find and altho in recent times I have been loading up with ''blem'' 158 JHP's (nice Speers) .... my very long time fave load has been using my homecast gas check Lyman 158 LSWC's.

I cast them pretty hard and of course lubrisize to .357 at which point the gas check gets added. Sit these over 14 grains of VV N-110 and I have a slightly sub max round that shoots well. Good in revo but also good in Win 94 and, leading is all but non-existent.

Somewhere I have notes on MV - but from memory I think they are a bit sub 1400.

Used to use 2400 successfully too way back, in my .357's and that was not bad altho early 2400 did always seem to leave some unburned flakes, and those could get under cylinder star. Not good. Recent 2400 seems better but the VV N-110 is a dream - clean stuff but pricey.

Hey P95. Could you edit the post to include the .44 mag?

Sure - have to tack it on the end.

Done - in fact to be fair have added .44 Spl too - can't really have one without the other. .41 is another option but very few seem to reload for that.

    Thankyou Sir.

I thought about that too. Although its a great round, I've never actually known anyone to carry it. Do you?

The .41, or the .44 Spl? I assume you mean .41.

I remember one guy who had a nice Smith .41 and he carried it - but while I think it's a superb round it really has never been ''up there'' with that many folks.

I'd love to find a M57 or 58 but heck, these days I don't need (yet) another cal

I voted for the .45 ACP.

I don't reload for the .357 nor the .44, I don't have anything to put them in. LOL.

I guess it's time to go shopping.

I reload 45ACP 'cause that's what I shoot most. Been considering starting to load for .38 Spec though.

Although I don't shoot it much anymore, I like reloading .45acp. Everything is big and easy to do.

P95, thanyou and I finally had my favorite hangun cartridge to reload on the list.

Hotguns, I thought you were referring to which handgun load that I liked to reload myself? Although I do CCW on Canoe and camping trips for bear and other assorted animals. :)
