    Need Help Guys,45 Acp

ok here we go ,bought a new kimber pro raptor 45 acp, shot about 3 hundred rounds of white box winchesters in it no problems everthing worked great .started loading some rounds up for it using hs6 8.2 g with 230 rn seated at 1.200 after loading 250 rounds went out to shoot them and slide wont go into battery ,slide stops about 1/8 in before going closed sometimes alittle more .2 out of 3 slide wont close ,went though all 250 rounds this way .checked stock ammo all good ,went back to reload ,slide wont close .i thought maybee loads were just to light for this gun so i beefed up the loads to 8.8 it was better but still not working right .dont wont to go much heaver on the powder ,ive checked cases compaired to stock all good ..
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG GUYS
    THANKS JEFF

So your saying it wont close on a loaded round your OAL should be fine .. but does this have a match grade barrel per chance? What is the OAL on the factory rounds you have

Also a weak round wont keep it from going into battery you would tend to see problems on ejection

if the factory ammo is longer and your bullet isnt over sized your not sizing your cases down enough

Either size down more. Your die should touch the shellholder/shellplate. Otherwise run in in a Lee factory crimp die and that will post size the cartridge. The FCD has cured many issues.

Maybe maybe not measure the depth of your chamber with a Caliper

Maybe you have a short chamber

Where is it showing impact on the round that isn't closing. There should be some indicators on the lead, or casing of what it is catching on.

Have you mic'ed all the dimensions of your reloaded ammo. What type of lead are you using, what type of brass?

There has to be some indicators somewhere in the measurements or marks on the rounds.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

its not impacting on case or lead ,its when extractor hits rim it wont go around ,thats why i thought maybee light loads not sending slide all the way back,so it dosent have enough force to push extractor past rim

What does your crimp measure? For 45 Auto it should be .469-.470".

Take the barrel out of the gun. Drop a round in. Goes in all the way?

    This happens with only handloads?
