    Reduce lead deposit

I am using cowboy action 230 grain .45 ACP's. The Lee manual says 5.1 grams MAX. I reload to 5.0 grams. I get a lot of built up lead which I never got before with the 200 grain cowboy action. I was wondering if reducing the powder measure might help reduce the lead build up. I use Win231 powder

As a general rule, to reduce the lead remaining in the barrel, either reduce the bullet velocity or increase the bullet hardness.

You should be fine to back off on the powder charge to reduce the velocity.
