Lee 3 die rifle set has no charging die????

So I was looking at lee dies for the .223. It appears to be a 3 die set, and includes a:

    1. bullet seating/crimp die
    2. resizer/deprimer
    3. factory crimp
That seems to be missing the expander/powder-through charging die that my pistol calibers have. I'm using the lee classic turret. Is there a powder through die that I have to buy separately? I don't see it. Am I being an idiot?

No, the Pacesetters don't have the option for a charging stage. It looks like you will need to charge by hand. If I understand correctly the way depriming pin works, it also does the neck expansion to allow you to place the lead in.

Here is a link to the Lee website. It appears that the Pacesetter are geared for hunting, at least that is what they are saying.

It depends on the brand of the die.

Some have them and some dont.

The thru-the die powder dies were made popular by the progressives presses so that you could charge quickly and move on to the next step. It was easy, quick and accurate.

you have to buy a universal rifle charging die your powder measure screws on top of and if you only have a 3 hole turret then won't use the factory crimp die if you have a 4 hole turret then you can use all the dies

Thanks. Made it out to cabelas yesterday, they had the rile charging die as well as almost everything else we needed. I still have to order a micro-powder measuring disk, but that's probably not important until I want to get precise with the loads. Right now I just want to make them go bang.
