    Hornady reloader

I saw the dillion thread, and thought about getting your input.

I have been thinking about moving to a progressive reloader. I am looking at the Hornady Lock-n-Load AP, Item #095100.

Do any of you use the Hornady product? Hidden costs, quality, etc...?

    Thanks for your time,

I just purchased a Hornady LNL AP a couple weeks ago. I was set on the Dillon, but the cost and process of caliber conversions convinced me to go Hornady.
The 1000 extra bullets help too.

By my tally, the cost for a machine with casefeeder and shell plate is:

Dillon -- $704.90 (price form Dillon Precision)
Hornady -- $687.47 (price from Midway USA)

$17.43 in favor of the Hornady. With a price that close, the capability of the powder check system on the Dillon and Dillon's overwhelmingly positive reputation, I'd buy Dillon every time. In fact, I did -- one 550 and two 650s. In over 25 years with the 550 and almost 10 years with the 650s, I've never had a part break. Dillon did replace a part on one of the 650s that I lost.

Try them both and choose the one you like best.
