Stupid lesson learned or is there hope?
I have recently set up a Lee 4 hole turret and began a small batch today. I got 155 gr JHPs, new Remington .40 brass, and a bottle of 231 powder. Started with a starter load of .46 on the Pro powder disc and all seemed well until I took a closer look at the primer box. Small RIFLE primers.
I know I asked the counter jockey at Cabelas for small pistol and it is definitely my fault for not looking to make sure. Are these wasted rounds and a lesson learned or can they still be used? I know I will not make that mistake again. Luckily it is only 30 rounds. Thanks all.

G23 for me and a G26 for my bride.

the small rifle primers have a harder cup and IIRC are a little hotter than pistol primers,I use them in my pistol loads occassionally and load light loads I've never had a problem

You will have no problem using them but they will run a little hotter so you should download your powder a bit. For loading 9mm major I use them 100% of the time.
