    Are all companies created equal?

After talking with a friend of mine who put some doubt about the quality of lee reloading equipment, I wanted to hear some opinions on the quality of other companies. I prefer to buy a quality product once instead of a crappy product twice. I am on a moderate budget and I am looking for a single stage press.

I used to make parts for Lee Precision. Lee has started more people on reloading equipment than any other company has. I own Dillon, Lee, RCBS, Redding, Lyman equipment. They all work.

As already stated they all work.

For a good, rock solid, made from steel press, I like the RCBS Rockchucker.

I also use a Dillon 550b for volume reloading, but they are expensive to get into.

I think most reloaders will agree that Dillon is the leader in quality of product. Everyone else is playing for second place. Sure they are a little more money but you get what you pay for. For the record I have a Lee Turret press and two Dillon SDB at home.

You can't beat Lee's prices on single and turret presses. Good products that just work. The only knock against Lee is their progressives, picky and need to tweak all the time. Look at Kempf's
Good people to work with and great prices on presses.

Thanks for the advice, I think I will end up getting the hand press after all.
