    Brass catcher

although technically not reloading I was wondering what you use to catch brass esp from an AR. I am tired of crawling all over looking for my precious brass. Any suggestions would be helpful.

They do make bags that velcro to the carry handle or you can make a backstop out of PVC pipe with a sheet tied to it you can set to catch the brass as it ejects out of your guns.I would turn the bottom up to make a pocket and voila,no more crawling around on your hands and knees

Many years ago I found a brass catcher for the AR-15 in the Shotgun News. It was an excellent design, it snapped on between the top of the upper receiver and carrying handle. It had a large bag attached that held about 30-40 cases. The bag could be removed while leaving the mount on the gun and the rifle functioned perfectly with it attached. Don't know if it's still made, but you might check.

I rather enjoy searching for my spent brass, and counting them in my head, and finding the ever elusive last two or three. It's good exercise, and the day comes I can't bend over and pick them up, I'll know I need to do something different. Sometimes I leave my range bag and ammo can open next to me and maybe 5% ends up in those.

This is what I use now. Before the 3Bucc, I used to strategically park my pickup behind the shooting bench so all my brass landed in the back of my truck. Cleaned it up when I got home.

All my guns seem to eject brass everywhere the tarp isn't when I try that

A larger tarp might be in order.
