Loading 308 on Hornady L-N-L AP
Does anyone know the trick to seating the die properly so the case doesn't resist or get stuck. I used Hornady one shot on the brass and on the die. No luck. It's the full length sizing die and the instructions aren't very good that come with the die set.
Any help would be much apprecated?

Did you square the die?
That means putting a case in the shell holder,
Loosening the lock nut on the die,
running the case into the die,
while the case is still in it, you tighten the lock nut.
That will center or "square" the die.
The one shot doesn't need to be sprayed on the die.
Just spray it on a batch of cases and give it a few minutes to spread around.
Then try it.

when I try to run a case into the die with the locknut loose it still resists, I have to really push to get it to go in, is that normal?

It is with a fired case that it being resized as you push it in.
As long as you lube the case, it is going to take a bit of pressure to resize it. The lube makes it easier and keeps it from sticking.

If you dont have a stuck case remover, invest in one. Sounds like you just may need it in the near future.

I ordered the stuck case remover yesterday from midway. I think my first mistake was to start loading 308 before some easier straight wall pistol. I've done 45 acp on my friends lock N load and it was simple to push the handle up and down. THe pressure needed to push the 308 cartridge in was much tighter so I think I just really need to master the art of lubing the brass
