Long as it works that all that matters. Those springs look a bit light though.

    Is it quiet?

    A field expedient tumbler.

    I like it!

How much did it cost to build? I might go this route. I'm guessing the basic idea is you had a small electric motor, put a counterweight on the spline, and then it spins, causing the bowl to wobble on the springs?

something like that i used a 15 dollar 6 inch buffer for waxing cars i bought it a harbor freight, already has weight on it. didn't connect it to the bowl direct I connected it to a plastic cutting board that way I could take the bowl on and off. total cost was about $30 bucks, I can mount any size bowl on it, I am going to add a couple more springs to the outside of the cutting board, for stability. as with the large bowls it tends to tip. over on the bucket.

I made one for myself out of a old ice cream maker motor, 4 casters and a big sun tea jar about 20 years ago and it's been doing a great job of cleaning my brass every since. I think I got the idea how to build it from some plans that were in a Shooting Times or Guns & Ammo magazine. I bet it didn't cost me $10 to put together.
