I would suggest getting a copy of the book, "Shooting Buffalo Rifles of the Old West" by Mike Venturino.

    The Open Range - Howdy!

I load black powder for my 45-90 Shiloh Sharps and my 40-65 pedersoli sharps as well as my 40-65 remmy roller.

Let me know if I can be of help.

Great source of info is Shiloh Rifle forum. Great bunch of guys and more knowledge than you can retain. Of course they may rib you little over the 120 because as a bunch of sharps purists they all know that the largest calibre ever originally chambered for a sharps was the 45-110.
