    For .357

    Hodgdon Lil'Gun

    Bullet:158gr HDY XTP diameter.357
    Case overall length:1.580''
    Starting grains:16.0grs ------------------ Max load18.grs
    16.gr velocity:1504fps-------------------18grs velocity1577fps
    start pressure:24,100cup-----------------max load pressure25,800cup

You can double check this load on Hodgdons site. I don't have any .38 loads for you as I only shoot .357 and don't reload for my .38.

    Good luck and have fun...

For 38spl I use a max load of Unique with a 125gr HP. Usually I don't use max loads, but since all of my pistols are either .357 or rated for +p, I figure I have an extra margin of safety with 38spl max loads.

Here is a link to the recipe:
    Alliant Powder - Reloader's Guide

Max load is listed according to Alliant, but is 3/10 above my Lee manual which says max is 5.3gr.
This is also right at the starting load for +p I believe, so start lower and work up.
When you've got 'em by the balls, their hearts & minds will follow. Semper Fi.
