I am have a dickens of a time locating small pistol primers. I got a new Rossi 38snub, a new sp101 357snub and all the components for loading my own except SMALL PISTOL PRIMERS. Where oh where has the little primers gone? Them damned little primers. AHHHHHH, 'nuf to make use dirty words.

The same thing in Connecticut. No primers.
No primers anywhere. I am waiting for my usual providers to notify me when primers both small and magnum are available.

none to be found. i have been looking for some for several months. when i do find some,,, i buy. the last ones i got two months ago at a local gun store was 39.99 for 1k.

Those prices are just ridiculous. I got lucky last week and scored some sm rifle primers from a local realoder here in town who I bought some 30-06 brass and 8lbs of powder from. Had he not been willing to sell me some sm primers, I'd still be without.
The only thing I don't have right now is large pistol primers, but I'm gonna wait until the craziness is over with I guess, 'cause I aint payin these high prices.
'Til then, I'm kinda laying low.

I was kinda mad when I had to pay almost 40 bucks a thousand here at Gander last month, but did it because the 7000 primers I bought should last me till all this mess is over.
BTW, sgtD there were 2000 large pistol in that batch.I feel for you man. But this too will soon pass. Or at least I hope it does.
This is exactly why we all need .22's for practice.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

I'm not even set up for reloading .45 acp yet. I haven't bought dies and other stuff, and frankly really don't have a need to do so right now, so I'm gonna wait it out. I have plenty of ammo and don't shoot my .45s much these days. I do have a number of .45 brass saved up for reloading someday, but it can wait.Free shipping, wow, what a deal on those.

For now, I have plenty of sm pistol primers for my .38, .357, and I can load for 9mm and .40 cal too if I feel the need. I also picked up 8lbs of pistol powder from that same guy, so I'm good there too.
I've got plenty to keep me entertained over the summer with loading for my rifles. I'm gonna be developing loads for .223, .308, & 30-06. Thankfully I am pretty well stocked on components for those now.
