Get a copy of P.O. Ackley's Book on Wildcat loads. You might try surfing "Wildcat Ammunition"

    Good Luck!!!

Looks like a .224 55 grn bullet being pushed out of a necked down 308 case

The .22 Cheeta is the .308 Remington Bench Rest case necked down to .22 with the shoulder moved forward. The Remington BR case takes small rifle primers and is somewhat thinner and more uniform than a normal .308 case. The Cheeta Mk I has a 40 degree shoulder angle and the Cheeta Mk II has a 28 degree shoulder angle.

I have owned both Cheetas and currently own a Remington 700 in .22 Cheeta Mk 1 with a 28" barrel. It is possible to get 4,400 fps with a 50 grain bullet; at the expense of rapid barrel wear.

hey guys, thanks for the info. upon further research, were abandoning the idea becuase the reloading supplies would be in the $500 range, and we have found out that we would have a short bbl life. probably going to sell the gun and pick up a more common rnd.
