I spent about $1100 for a Dillon 550 and accessories for two calibers, including the quick change setup. I buy primers by the case (when I can find them), powder in 8 lb kegs, and Berry's bullets 1,000 at a time. I already had the scale and reloading bench since I loaded shotshells.
I had a progressive shotshell press (MEC 9000) so I wanted to start with a progressive press, and didn't want to spend the cash for a single stage, only to want to upgrade later.

I started reloading rifle with a single stage RCBS (still do). I bought a Lee 4-die turret press last year. I think you can get started with a Lee Kit for $110 (Lee 4 Hole Turret Press with Auto Index Deluxe Kit - MidwayUSA), dies for another $35, <$20/pound of powder, plus projectiles & primers. Total <$300. I plan to get a Dillon next year as I am shooting more and want to increase my reloading volume.

I have about $1300 in for my Dillion 650. I can load 9mm .223/5.56, 40, or 45. I also have the Electronic case feeder, AWESOME, Feature.
But I have the Strong Mount, Extra tool heads and powder hoppers.
