Power Pistol Powder Question
Need to do a powder run and I've been thinking of experimenting with some Power Pistol.
For those who use it:
Can it be used for light and medium loads as well as heavier loads in 9mm, 40S&W, and 45 ACP?
Does it meter well?
Does it only work well with heavier bullets?
Thanks.

I don't know, but the company's reloading data should answer your questions.

I have loaded all three calibers with Power Pistol. It meters fine in my Dillon 550.
In .45 with a 230gr FMJ I have loaded 5.6 to 8grains.
In .40SW I have loaded 5.5 to 7.6gr with 165 and 180gr bullets
In 9mm with 115gr JHP I have loaded 4.8 to 6.3grains.
In 9mm 147 Plated I have loaded 4.6 to 5grains
Muzzle flash can be impressive in the .45 ACP. I don't have a chronograph.
As stated above, carefully reading published data and choosing appropriate loads based on bullet type is very important for safety.

If you visit the Alliant Powder web site you can download the data. It meters well for me also. I just looked at the manual, the information you're looking for is on pp. 34-36.
